You don't have to start the next Apple to build your legacy. You don't have to set out on a worldwide journey to make your mark. You don't have to donate billions to a charity to leave a legacy. You don't have to.
You came here with nothing and you will bring nothing too. You came here alone and you will die alone too. If you think that leaving a legacy is important to you then read further.
If you notice the common aspects of all the legacy builders, there will be one thing in common. They were givers. They gave something away or they contributed something meaningful to the society.
All of us are going to die one day and your name should remind the world of something or the world gets to remember your name in assocation with something. Your name, your legacy and that will be an eternal life.
The ultimate thing that you can leave behind should be an idea. Leave behind an idea that can change the world and transform lives. Even if you failed to achieve in your lifetime, your idea will live and others will give life to it.
Now, that's what I call a legacy. Not your name or wealth. Your idea that can live and give life to others.
