The idea behind think small is to see the details that we tend to miss especially when we think big or when we see a situation heading south to be a massive problem. You might have experienced this several times where you think too hard on a problem or a situation that you must handle and finally it turned out to be pretty small or got solved easily with minor adjustments or actions.
Here we go, when you are facing a problem all you need to do is to see it from a perspective that is out from the problem. It means don't think from the inside but see it from the outside. When you do this you are not emotionally attached to the problem.
There's a small question that you can ask which can help you to achieve this. No matter the size or the nature of the situation that you must solve, ask this question.
"What if this is a small problem?"
This simple question will help you to downsize the situation and will help you to see things out of box. When you treat a situation as manageable then you will be able to manage it. When you see it to be too big then it will be overwhelming and you might fail.
Use this question to question the problem. You will grow bigger and solve it faster.
The truth is all problems are smaller than what you think of. It is just the size of consequences that bothers you. The seed is always small.
